Canada is a world leader in mediation practices. We pioneered the contemporary (Western) use of “restorative justice” processes in the 1970s, although the concept originated much earlier than that among our early first nations communities as well as the first nations of many other countries and cultures. Canadian social workers and therapists, as well as labour negotiators, have been applying mediation processes to their work for decades. It is time now for an implementation of this mediation process by way of a free website service available to all Canadian families.
